A very popular spot for tourists and locals alike, Anemomilos or Anemómylos as it is correctly translated comes about due to this area in the Garitsa bay as the area had a number of windmills, as this point can be quite wind.
The reconstructed windmill can now be hired and does host a number of artistic events throughout the year. There are some spectacular views to be had from here of the Old Fortress, Corfu town and Garitsa bay itself.
