Lefkimmi river is located in the area of Potami in the secоnd lаrgest villagе on the island. Many people sadly don't venture this far south but in our opinion, it is worth a day out as there are many beaches located in the south that are stunning and can be quiet compared to the more known "tourist" ones.
A trip here would not be complete unless you took a moment to relax by the river at some point, where you'll find great places to eat and drink. It's especially magically into the early and late evening being stunningly lit as if you were in Venice. The oldest Kafenion is located across the bridge run by a very intellectual character by the name of Panos, whose family have run this café for over 100 years.
