Lake Antiniotissa - North Corfu

Lake Antiniotissa, in the north of the island, along side the beach of Agios Spyridon beach, known as "the lake of lilies" in Gerry’s book, My Family and Other Animals, is a spot where the Durrells often picnicked. Still untouched from those early days and wildlife can be found, its true beauty is seen from above, which the picture from our drone shows. Due to the sea way the area to the north of the lake is cut off so to speak and its a great place to walk passing via a secluded beach Gialiskari Beach Παραλία Γυαλισκάρι round the headland past Antinioti West Beach and the turning left to come via the sadly Decayed Monastery "Agía Ekateríni'' or continuing on to Almiros beach Παραλία Αλμυρού (all are listed within BEACHES in our App)
